Hi! I stumbled on your blog because of your DAMY experience. Loved your attitude and spunk!
I recently signed up for BBP, that you completed in 2011. Are you willing to share your results as well as post program thoughts and current way of life? I assume you have lived through much change (baby)?…which impacted your lifestyle.
The motivation was great!

Hey, Yes more than happy to! My results are here:
My post program thoughts are that DAMY was the best eating plan I ever did. It got me a fabulous body (if I do say so myself 😉 ). But then I got pregnant immediately after and never returned to the full 12 week plan. So, my body is not quite the same. But… I learned so much from DAMY that I live by now – how much to eat and when. “Go to” snacks and foods. How to listen to my body. How to recognize fat gain from hormones. What do to about fat gain (no more quick fixes!). How to get through the holiday season without EVER feeling deprived, but without gaining weight (holidays and travel too!). I would say that I struggled with my weight for over 12 years, until damy. Now, I am a US size 4 without even trying – a year after a baby. It was honestly wonderful and Amy will absolutely be with you every step of the way – when I struggled (I had hunger issues a couple of times) she really tailored the plan and checked back several times and she always personally answered questions. I am not a DAMY ambassador, so I have nothing to gain from telling you this – except that I love thinking others may end up as happy as me 🙂
Please stay in touch – let me know if you go for it. And email (link is on the site) if I can help more.

Hiya Lekki, vicariously enjoying your exciting interview set. Although I have to say “dude it’s not all about papers” 😉 (but then I would!)

Ya know, S, you are right. I do get very ‘papers’ focused, and it is good to step back. But I am am epidemiologist (not a bench Scientist) – it is all I have!

Thanks Susan – both of those are high praise from you indeed 🙂 I would love to talk about ADHD anytime. Also the issue of EF and food and ADHD may soon be the subject of a grant application (just have to find a job first… ) so definitely stay in touch x
